A muslim family was brutally murdered in Kitchener, Ontario on July 1, 2017. The victims were the very young daughters of Iqra Khalid (32), Huda Elgunsi (31) and their mother Narjis Khalid (64). The exact motives are still unknown and under investigation by the police. A young man from Pickering was arrested and is being held in custody facing 5 counts of murder and attempted murder. There is absolutely no justification for what happened to this family.The young man killed was 25-year-old Rasoul Kakar. He had mental health issues and a history of drug use.The attack on this family is horrific and heartbreaking. This kind of violence must never be allowed to continue in our society. We must all stand together against such tragedy and do everything we can to end it.
